What have we been up to?

19th and 20th Novemeber 2011

We once again travelled to Albany to compete in the show, obedience and agilty rings.

Lewis was Reserve Challenge dog on both Saturday and Sunday and Intermediate in Group on Saturday.

Lewis also gained his last pass required to claim his CCD title. He worked very well and came away with 97/100 and first place.  His enthusiasm was wonderful to watch.  He also entered the agility and jumping rings and although didn't gain a pass did extremely well, it didn't help that I had an error of coure!! Whoops, won't do that again!!

Rommi did very well also.  She became a little overwhelmed in the obedience ring so we ellected to retire from the obedience trial.  Rommi came into her own in the agility ring though, gaining a JD and AD pass and first place.  I was very pleased with how she ran.

Both dogs did a great job on a very tiring and busy weekend.  They tried their hearts out and I couldn't have asked more from them.  We all came home very happy and very tired.

18th & 19th June 2011

This weekend we went up to Perth to participate in an Endurance and Obedience trial.  Lewis cruised in the Endurance Title easily and happily.  He then went on to gain another pass in CCD under fairly trying conditions and after doing the 20kms in the ET the day before.

He happily did whatever I asked of him and can now add the ET title to his name.  One more pass until he can get his CCD title.

Very proud of my boy.

12th & 13th February 2011

This weekend were my first Obedience trials in 6 years and my first shows in 8 years.  I am very pleased to say the Whippets did very well.

Lewis got a Reserve Challenge dog and also a pass in CCD and first place.

Rommi got a Reserve Challenge bitch, Statebred in Group and a pass in Novice and second place.

I am very proud of my little guys they showed like troopers and tried their hearts out.  The obedience trial was held in very windy and cold conditions and althought they were distracted they worked well.  It is a big ask to put dogs in the car at 5am travel nearly 500kms and then show and trial them all day never mind what the weather throws at them.
